Day 12 Extra: Find Writing & Accountability Group Connections
Looking for a group? Post about it here.
It’s Day 12! We just heard from Margot Livesey and Daphne Kalotay about navigating feedback. (And hopefully no one missed yesterday’s inspirational interview with AE Osworth about joy-writing). What if you don’t have a group to get that feedback from? Post what kind of group and experience (in-person? online?) you’re looking for in the comments section here. Include your location, genre, writing background (newbie? published?), and how to make contact. Feel free to reply to others’ posts! Finding like-minded writers to help you through the gauntlet of the writing and publishing world can really make the difference between moving your work forward and not. Plus, it helps you feel not so alone. There are so many of us out there. Speak up!
Love the podcast! Thank you, Michelle! I recently took David Farrow’s awesome GrubStreet Horror Writing class and would be interested in trading story drafts with fellow writers of this genre. I have an MFA from Warren Wilson, so not new to writing, but am new to this genre. Contact is lgbingham@gmail.com.
Thanks, Michelle, for your podcast and this second opportunity to connect with others :)
I am located in southern New Hampshire looking for either online or in-person critique partners. I have spent the last 1.5 years studying the craft, completed a memoir class, and am working on my first book as well as shorter works. My genre is transformational non-fiction\teaching memoir. I had created a critique group with fellow memoir classmates, but the attendance has dwindled due to their other priorities. So, if you are a dedicated writer, please reach out and we can discuss further. Thanks! email: golf404@msn.com
