London Writer's Salon started during the pandemic and has grown to include writers from all over the world. It's a great community with a huge variety of writers! There are writing hours at: 8 a.m. London, 8 a.m. Eastern, 8 a.m. Pacific, and 8 a.m. New Zealand times. Local equivalents for all the times are listed on the website. They have a great Circle Community with interest groups, Open Mics (I co-host one!), Critique sessions and more. There are also weekly "mingles" for each time zone where you connect with your fellow writers in breakout rooms. I can't recommend it highly enough! I also talk about Grub and the great classes offered there fairly frequently. My writing practice went to a new level when I started showing up for these sessions! And there are quite a few writers from the Boston area that are members.
Writers Annie Harnett and Tessa Fontaine have come up with a clever idea. They offer an accountability group that meets every other week to discuss the writing process and also provide much-needed support. (Cost is $150/month.) Writers don't share their work, but they sign a contract with Annie and Tessa saying how much writing they'll do (for example: 2 hours, five days per week). When the work is completed on a given day, the writer sends a 'done' email and gets back a 'check' from Annie or Tessa. They also meet with the writers individually to provide additional support, as needed. It's been a huge motivator for me. Openings may be limited, but I highly recommend.
There were a few people on today's Zoom that may be working with multiple points of view. Anyone want to share work/commiserate/think logistics through together? The cat is tired of me using her as a sounding board.
They have online classes, at home retreats, write-ins, and my personal favourite, a monthly subscription that I've found myself looking more and forward to every month where you get a letter, two writing prompts, and a yummy piece of chocolate! I strongly recommend Chris and the rest of the Firefly writers and instructors, especially if you are in Canada and want to see prices for things in Canadian dollars!
Looking for an accountability buddy and/or group to meet up and talk about our projects. I’m working on a queer Gothic by-the-sea book and another about a queer serial killer on the hunt for people who’ve escaped justice.
I’m in Boston, but haven’t been to new Grub yet. Does it have places set aside for writing or do you have to be a member/be taking a course? Either way, I’d love to meet up in the general Brookline/JP/Camberville/Allston area to talk about how we’re doing and maybe do some sprints?
Oh my gosh, thank you for sharing this opportunity. I would love to participate in a virtual group like this. I'm currently revising my 3rd novel, which my agent hopes to submit next year. I write literary and historical fiction (Maranatha Road + The Good Luck Stone). I'm in NC, but due to my day job work schedule, I would likely not be able to meet in person. I'm hoping there are some writers here who would like to get to know each other and be accountability / venting :) partners via text/email/etc. Thanks again!

Thanks. I will go to Grub Street.

I am definitely looking. At the very least, I would love some means to do a daily scrum with people.

Seconding Patricia's shout out to London Writer's Salon, which is super global (I'm based in SF).
✍️ Come write with me and hundreds of other writers each weekday at Writers’ Hour. It’s free!: https://writershour.com/
Just to add to the recommendations: I'm in Canada, and love Firefly https://fireflycreativewriting.com/

Would love to find an accountability buddy as well. Working on a book about changing the story in health care
